Andrew and Kelly were concerned about the number of poorly built homes during the boom of 2003-2008 and felt they could improve the process and outcome for homeowners.
With Andrew’s extensive building knowledge and overseas construction experience combined with Kelly’s trade experience, business knowledge and understanding of management systems, they felt they had the right package to provide a superior service, and Premium Homes was formed.
Shortly after the company was formed the global financial crisis hit, but Premium Homes managed to keep its doors open by building new homes utilising quality, experienced building contractors with outstanding results due to their project management and quality control.
Then the Canterbury earthquakes changed the building industry as we knew it. Premium Homes took on the challenge of rebuilding and repairing damaged buildings throughout Canterbury. They became one of a few building companies to be recommended by insurance companies, as they delivered quality repairs on major projects with only the best results and testimonials from their clients.
Today, Premium Homes is a national award-winning business, with an experienced team of around 20 employees, who pride themselves on delivering quality and craftsmanship for their clients. Their focus has progressed, now embracing health based building ideology to create homes that are warmer, healthier and energy efficient using natural and recyclable building products.
Whether repairing or building a home from new, they treat every project as if it was for their friends or family. They manage all aspects from helping pick the right section, to giving advice on the best products to use with your budget in mind.
